Description
Alright BMW diesel fans, if you've got an E60 or E61 5 Series – that's the 525d or 530d from 2002 to 2010 – and you're dealing with a boost leak or split hose, this lower charge air turbo hose is exactly what you need.
It's from Hajus Autoteile GmbH, a house brand, but it's built to match OEM specs.
Cross-reference numbers include Metzger 2400139, Vaico V20-1617, and the big one: BMW OEM 11617799401 (also listed as 1161 7 799 401).
If your car is losing power under load, hissing, or you've got black smoke, this hose is a common failure point.
Installation isn't too bad – you'll need to get under the car or remove some intake parts, but it's doable with basic hand tools.
Just make sure the engine is cool before you mess with it.
The lower position means it's exposed to road grime, so the old one might be soft or cracked.
Good quality aftermarket part that saves you from dealer prices.
