This Topran ball joint is a direct-fit replacement for the front lower suspension on your VW T4 Transporter van, covering model years 1996 through 2003.
If you're getting clunks over bumps or vague steering, this is likely your culprit.
Part number 7D0407361 (also written as 7D0 407 361) is the one you need.
Goes on the front left or right side, lower control arm – so it's a critical piece of your steering and suspension setup.
